Jordan Walker is 16 years old. He suffered a major spinal cord injury on 11-22-13 at his High School playoff football game in the 1st quarter. He immediately lost all movement and sensation from his neck down. Follow the amazing daily story about Jordan and his parent's road to recovery at http://www.gofundme.com/5m7mms It is truly amazing, heartwarming and shows the lengths that devoted parents will go to for the love of their child.
He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital Trauma Center after the injury. After evaluation there, he was transported to Loma Linda Hospital. There he had surgery to realign his vertebrae and relieve pressure from his spinal cord. He remained in critical but stable condition. He was then transferred to Kaiser Fontana, a new state of the art facility. After a second evaluation, doctors discovered a blown out disc that was putting pressure on the front of his spinal cord. Kaiser's doctor Mehta preformed a second surgery to remove the blown out disk.
After many weeks of rehab in Colorado I am happy to report that Jordan is home and amongst his friends and family once again.
The heartwarming story of Jordan Walker should serve as an inspiration to us all as his determination and his parents' sacrifice prove that love conquers all.
I have known Jordan's parents, Curtis & Ali Walker, since before Jordan was born. They are incredibly nice people and very devoted parents. Please help them in any way you can by visiting http://www.gofundme.com/5m7mms
