Bill: What if you're the high priced provider in your product or service area? Here's a couple tips from sales expert, Douglas Kolker.
Douglas: They have to be comfortable with what they're selling and the value at the price that they have attached to it. If they're not, then they shouldn't be doing it or they should lower their prices without anybody asking them to. But, once you're comfortable with what you're selling and the price, you should never, ever feel defensive. The other thing that a prospect asks you, "why is it so much?" The problem is at least one step, if not more, before that. We're in that problem now, but at the manifestation of what wasn't done before. So, the sales person or the professional service provider hasn't shown them through their questioning, and by helping the prospect see the problems, and the depth of the problems they are going to have if they don't take their service. How their problems are going to get worse and aren't going to go away.
