Transcript:
Kris: If we look back historically, back in the 1970s, any idea, Bill, how much a stamp was?
Bill: Was it 12 cents?
Kris: Actually, that's a really good guess, it was 10 cents, and I want to say now it's 49 cents. So, it's quintupled over those 40 years, which is crazy, but that's the cost of living increasing. We know that that's going to continue, and I don't really think people take into account the fact that in the future, their purchasing power is going to be going down. As the cost of living goes up, you see yourself with a big nest egg, you think it's a lot of money, but fast forward 20 years, that nest egg is not going to be able to purchase the same amount of goods that it does today. So, if you're not hedging your portfolio against this rising cost of living, then I think that you're going to be in trouble toward the end of retirement.
